Clay Buchholz mowed down 13 Minnesota batters at Target Field as the Boston
Redsox beat the Minnesota Twins 5 to 1.

Buchholz(1-0) gave a fine effort for Boston. He went 7 and 1/3 innings and
surrended up 7 hits and 3 walks improving his ERA from 1.93 to 1.50. Boston
ended up with 13 hits for the game while Minnesota had 7.

Buchholz was helped out by Craig Breslow who recorded his 2nd save. Mike
Pelfrey(1-1) suffered the loss. He was a hard-luck loser as he did not allow
an earned run in his 6 innings of work.

'I had my good stuff today.' Buchholz said. 'As the game went along I started
to get the feeling that I was going to strike out a bunch of hitters.'
