Oakland scored 5 runs in the decisive 2nd inning when they came up with 5 base

Oakland. That was all the run support Parker required. Parker got help from
Doolittle who pitched a perfect ninth and was credited with his 1st save.

Samuel Deduno(0-1) was the loser. He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings and
surrendered 7 hits and 2 walks.
