In a two run game the New York (AL) Yankees got by the ice-cold Houston Astros
by the score of 4 to 2.
 
New York (AL) came up with 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning when they
came up with 3 base hits.  The key at-bat was by Brett Gardner who excited
the crowd when he doubled bringing home two baserunners.  New York (AL) had 8
hits for the afternoon.  
 
The win went to C.C. Sabathia(2-0) who allowed 2 runs in 7 innings. Mariano
Rivera was credited with his 2nd save.  Josh Fields(0-2) absorbed the loss in
relief.
