Zach Duke had a strong outing at Bank One Ballpark where the Pittsburgh
Pirates beat the Arizona ballclub 5 to 2.

Arizona lost it in the 6th inning when Pittsburgh did all their damage as they
scored 5 runs on 5 base hits. The critical plate appearance was by Jason Bay
who silenced Bank One Ballpark as he tripled bringing in two baserunners.
Pittsburgh banged out 8 on the afternoon.

Duke(3-0) allowed 2 runs on the game. Javier Vazquez(1-2) ended up with the
loss. He pitched 7 and 1/3 innings giving up 8 hits and 1 walk.

'He had his 'A' game today,' John DePanicis said of Duke. 'Very impressive
performance.'
