Reed Johnson had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Los Angeles(NL) Dodgers bested
the Chicago (NL) Cubs 6 to 5 at Dodger Stadium.

Los Angeles(NL) claimed the early lead in the first inning scoring 3 runners
on 3 hits. Los Angeles(NL) had 12 hits for the afternoon while Chicago (NL)
had 8.

The victory was credited to Clayton Kershaw(3-5) who went 5 innings, allowing
5 runs. Jonathan Broxton earned the save, his 5th. Carlos Silva(1-3) ended
up with the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 8 hits and 4 walks in 4
innings.

'I had a little blister on my index finger before the game, but I thought it
was nothing.' Kershaw said. 'I was lucky I got a win because I couldn't put
the ball where I wanted it.'
