Geovany Soto connected with a 'big fly' and had 2 RBI as the Chicago (NL) Cubs
won in dramatic fashion over the Los Angeles(NL) Dodgers by a score of 3 to 2
at Wrigley Field.

Chicago (NL) scored the decisive runs in a big 9th inning plating 2 runs using
2 hits. After an out was recorded, Jeff Baker kicked off the action when he
ripped a base-knock. Blake Dewitt was the next batter, but he struck out.
Soto then bombed a two-run dinger making Chicago (NL) the winners and sending
the 33,234 fans home happy. Chicago (NL) out-hit Los Angeles(NL) for the
game, 10 hits to 7.

The win was credited to Sean Marshall(3-0) who went 1/3 of an inning allowing
no runs. Jonathan Broxton(0-2) was hit with the loss in relief.

'That was exciting!,' Soto said. 'I would have paid money to watch this one.'
