At SAFECO Field, the Seattle faithful were treated to an intriguing pitcher's
duel. Jarrod Washburn(1-1) finally bested his Baltimore counterpart, Chris
Tillman(0-1), by the score of 2 to 0.

Seattle started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of the
first plating an isolated run. That was all the runs Washburn needed.
Seattle had only 5 hits for the game.

Washburn got relief help from David Aardsma who gained credit for his 3rd
save. Tillman was tagged with the loss. He pitched 7 innings and
surrendered just 4 hits and no walks.
