At Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles(NL) fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel.
Clayton Kershaw(4-1) finally bested his Atlanta opposite, Derek Lowe(3-2), by
the score of 3 to 1.

Atlanta fell behind quickly as the Los Angeles(NL) offense came through in the
first inning when they scored 2 runs on 4 hits. That early run support was
enough for Kershaw and Los Angeles(NL). Los Angeles(NL) had 11 hits for the
afternoon while Atlanta had 7.

Kershaw got help from Javy Guerra who earned his 5th save. Lowe was the
loser. He was knocked around by Los Angeles(NL), allowing 10 hits and 2
walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.
