Brad Hawpe launched 2 homeruns as the Colorado Rockies pulled out a win over
the Cincinnati Reds by a score of 7 to 6 at Coors Field.

The game was decided in the bottom of the 9th inning. After an out was
recorded, Jeff Baker doubled. Garrett Atkins came next and he drew a walk.
Hawpe then drew a walk to load the bases. Chris Iannetta was up next and he
drew a walk resulting in a mighty exciting win for Colorado and the 28,395
home town fans in attendance. It was roller coaster of a game as the lead
change hands 5 times.

The victory went to Ryan Speier(1-0) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs.
David Weathers(0-1) absorbed the loss in relief. He pitched 1 and 1/3
innings and surrendered 2 hits and no walks.
