Ricky Nolasco whiffed 12 batters and Cody Ross had 2 base hits as the Florida
Marlins defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 3 to 1 at Miller Park.

Nolasco(4-2) gave Florida a solid outing. He gave up just 5 hits and no walks
in 8 innings improving his ERA from 2.83 to 2.59. Nolasco got help from
Renyel Pinto who pitched great and earned his 1st save.

Manny Parra(0-2) was the losing pitcher. He surrendered just 4 hits and no
walks in 8 innings. Nolasco was pleased with his performance. He noted, 'I
had good command of all my pitches. Just as important, my location was right
on.'
