At Nationals Park, the Washington fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. John
Lannan(2-4) finally bested his Philadelphia opposite, Brett Myers(2-2), by
the score of 3 to 1.

Washington scored 2 runs in the 4th inning. The highlight belonged to
Lastings Milledge who brought the crowd to their feet when he bombed a
two-run dinger (his 1st of the season). Washington had 8 hits for the
afternoon while Philadelphia had 4.

Lannan got help from Joel Hanrahan who earned his 2nd save. Myers took the
loss. He surrendered 2 runs and 4 hits in 6 innings.
