In a thriller the Chicago (NL) Cubs staged a dramatic comeback then held on to
win over the Cincinnati Reds by a score of 4 to 3 at Great American
Bpk.

Chicago (NL) had the game winning rally in the top of the 9th inning scoring 2
runs. Milton Bradley started the inning off right when he drew a walk. Two
outs later Aramis Ramirez stepped in and he cracked a two-run shot. Both
teams totaled 4 hits on the afternoon.

Angel Guzman(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 and 2/3 innings and
allowing no runs. The loss was charged to Francisco Cordero(0-1) in relief.
He allowed 2 runs and 1 hit in 1 inning.

'The only way this one could have been better', said Guzman, 'was if we had
played it at home.'
