Center fielder John Mayberry Jr knocked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the
Philadelphia Phillies bested the Washington Nationals 3 to 1 at Nationals
Park.

Mayberry Jr provided the offensive punch. He doubled in the 2nd inning,
blasted a two-run home run in the 5th inning and delivered a solo blast in
the 7th inning. Philadelphia managed 8 hits in their victory.

Cole Hamels(4-2) was the winner allowing 1 run in 6 innings. Jonathan Papelbon
gained credit for his 11th save. Ross Detwiler(1-2) suffered the loss.
