Third baseman Ryan Zimmerman touched them all as the Washington Nationals
defeated the Miami Marlins by a score of 4 to 2 at Marlins Park.

Washington scored the decisive runs in a big top of the 8th inning plating 2
runs using 3 hits. Adam Laroche led off and got things going when he lashed
a single. Michael Morse stepped up next and he laced a base-hit. Wade
Leblanc then threw one that got by the catcher for a passed ball. Ian
Desmond came up and he laced a one-base hit. Danny Espinosa struck out,
unable to help the rally. After another out, Tyler Moore was next to bat,
but he was a strikeout victim. For the game Washington out-hit Miami 14 to
9.

Ryan Mattheus(2-2) allowed no runs in 2 innings, and picked up the victory.
Tyler Clippard recorded the save, his 11th. Leblanc(1-2) was the loser in
relief. He allowed Washington 3 runs in 2 innings of work.
