The Baltimore Orioles nipped the Chicago (AL) Whitesox 3 to 2 at US Cellular
Field in a hard fought contest.

The game started off with Baltimore taking the lead in the first plating an
isolated run. After an out was recorded, Wilson Betemit took matters into
his own hands and smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly'. Adam Jones was the next
batter, but he struck out. Chris Davis then drew a walk. Mark Reynolds got
his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes. Both teams
totaled 5 hits on the afternoon.

Jason Hammel(2-1) went 7 innings allowing 2 runs for the win. Darren O'Day
recorded the save, his 2nd. Jake Peavy(2-3) was charged with the loss.
