In a good matchup it was the Kansas City Royals 4, the Chicago (AL) Whitesox 1
at Kauffman Stadium.
 
In the 4th inning Kansas City went on top for good plating one baserunner on 2
base hits.  For the game Kansas City out-hit Chicago (AL) 11 to 7.  
 
The win went to Luke Hochevar(2-1) who allowed 1 run in 7 innings. Jonathan
Broxton preserved the game for Hochevar, recording his his 2nd save.  Jose
Quintana(1-1) took the loss.  
 
'Ahhh, how sweet it is,' Lee Michaels sighed.  'That win feels like a tall,
cool drink of water after spending far too much time in the desert lately.'
