First baseman Chris Davis slammed a homerun and had 3 RBI as the Baltimore
Orioles came back to win one over Kansas City Royals, 8 to 7.

Baltimore had the winning rally in the 9th inning with 3 runs on 2 base hits.
Adam Jones led off and keyed the rally when he ripped a base-knock, and an
error was also committed. Nate McLouth stepped into the batter's box and he
drew a walk. Brian Roberts was next to the plate, but was promptly struck
out. Davis followed next and he belted a three-run homer. The score went
back-and-forth with the lead changing 6 times.

The victory went to Jim Johnson(2-1) who went 1 and 1/3 innings, allowing no
runs. Greg Holland(0-1) took the loss in relief. Craig Lombardi was all
smiles after the game, 'To pull a game out in your last at bats, is a
beautiful feeling - and did you see how quiet it got out there? You could
have heard a pin drop when we took the lead. But, hey, that's what makes
baseball so great - as the great sage Yogi Berra says, 'it's not over 'til
its over.'
