The Texas Rangers registered 4 runs in the 1st inning and nipped the Oakland
A's 8 to 7 at O.co Coliseum in a hard fought contest.

The deciding run was scored by Texas in the 9th. Ian Kinsler stroked a
single, and an error was also committed. Two outs later Ryan Cook came to
bat and threw a wild pitch scoring the run. Although they lost, Oakland did
out-hit Texas 11 to 7.

The victory went to Jason Frasor(1-1) who went 3 innings, allowing no runs.
Joe Nathan was credited with his 8th save. Brett Anderson(0-1) was the loser
in relief. It was a tough loss for him as he did not allow an earned run in
his 3 and 2/3 innings of work.
