base hits.  They would be enough to earn the win.  Boston and New York (AL)
each finished the afternoon with 8 hits.  
 
Jon Lester(5-1) went 7 and 1/3 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory. Phil
Hughes(0-3) ended up with the loss.  He surrendered 4 hits and 2 walks in 5
innings.
