The Tampa Bay Rays bested the New York (AL) Yankees by a 5 to 2 score at
Tropicana Field.
 
Chris Archer(2-4) earned his pay with a solid performance for Tampa Bay.  He
allowed 3 hits and 2 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings lowering his ERA from 5.30 to
4.84.  New York (AL) was out-hit by Tampa Bay, 10 hits to 3.  
 
Archer got relief help from Fernando Rodney who gained credit for his 3rd
save.  The losing pitcher was Hiroki Kuroda(5-2).  He allowed 2 runs and 5
hits in 5 and 2/3 innings.
