TEAM RISP- Astros: 2 for 17 Redsox: 4 for 9

Adrian Gonzalez knocked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Houston Astros were
badly beaten by the Boston Redsox, 11 to 1.

Gonzalez provided much of the offense. He smacked a three-run homer in the
1st inning, doubled in the 3rd inning, stroked a single in the 5th inning and
smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 7th inning. Boston had many
opportunities throughout the game and scored in 6 separate innings.

The win was credited to Josh Beckett(1-2) who went 6 innings allowing no runs.
Clayton Mortensen gained credit for his 1st save. Lucas Harrell(0-2) was hit
with the loss. He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 7 runs in 4 and
2/3 innings.

'I've spent a lot of time in the cage and made some adjustments and they've
paid off,' Gonzalez said. 'I just take the same approach up there. I don't
overanalyze it. I go up there, see the ball and try to put a good swing on
it.'
