Dylan Axelrod delivered 7 and two third solid innings and third baseman Jose
Lopez blasted a homerun and had 2 RBI as the Chicago (AL) Whitesox bested the
Minnesota Twins 7 to 4 at US Cellular Field.
 
Chicago (AL) had 3 runs cross the plate in the bottom of the 3rd inning with
the help of 5 hits.  The crucial at-bat was provided by Alejandro De Aza who
thrilled the crowd when he singled bringing in two baserunners.  Overall
Chicago (AL) out-hit Minnesota 12 to 5.  
 
Axelrod(1-0) went 7 and 2/3 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory. Axelrod
got relief help from Nate Jones who gained credit for his 2nd save.  The
losing pitcher was Scott Diamond(0-3).
