The Seattle Mariners tallied 4 runs in the 10th inning and readily handled
Toronto Bluejays in 10 innings by a score of 6 to 2 at SAFECO Field.
 
The game was deadlocked at 2 after nine full innings.  Seattle won the hard
fought contest in the 10th inning.  The critical plate appearance was by
Dustin Ackley who made the home-town crowd a happy bunch when he hit a 'grand
salami' to the delight of his teammates.  The game was a scoreless duel until
the 7th inning.  
 
Josh Kinney(2-0) allowed no runs in 1 inning, and picked up the victory.
Brandon Lyon(0-1) was hit with the loss in relief.  Seattle now has a record
of 7-7.  Toronto has a record of 12-13 after the loss.
