Michael Wacha struck out 13 batters at Busch Stadium as the seemingly
unstoppable St. Louis Cardinals beat the Atlanta Braves by the count of 4 to
0.

Wacha(1-0) simply dominated Atlanta. He allowed just 3 hits and 4 walks in 8
innings seeing his ERA drop from 2.08 to 1.08. Atlanta was out-hit by St.
Louis, 6 hits to 3.

Julio Teheran(1-2) was the losing pitcher. He surrendered only 2 runs and 1
hit in 4 and 2/3 innings. Fredi Gonzalez was upset after the game. 'I don't
like to complain but did you see that umpires strike zone?', he said. 'Maybe
they ought to start calling the strike zone the way it's printed in the rule
book.'
