Joey Votto connected with a 'big fly' and had 3 RBI as the Cincinnati Reds
defeated the Washington Nationals 9 to 5 at Great American Bpk.
 
Cincinnati came up with 4 runs in the 3rd inning when they came up with 3 base
hits.  The biggest moment was provided by Votto who came through for the home
fans when he cleared the fences for a two-run home run.  Cincinnati rapped
out 12 hits for the afternoon.  
 
The win went to Homer Bailey(2-0) who allowed 5 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings. Gio
Gonzalez(1-6) ended up with the loss.  He surrended 3 homeruns in his 4 and
1/3 innings.
