Tanner Roark pitched 6 and two third strong innings as the Washington
Nationals beat the New York (NL) Mets by a score of 4 to 1.
 
New York (NL) was unable to recover after Washington went ahead in the 2nd
inning plating one baserunner utilizing 2 base hits.  After two were out Ian
Desmond doubled.  Wilson Ramos stepped into the batter's box and he was
walked intentionally.  Roark then hit a single scoring the run.  Washington
finished with 11 hits while New York (NL) ended up with 6.  
 
The win was credited to Roark(4-0) who went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing no
runs. Roark got help from Rafael Soriano who was credited with his 6th save.
Matt Harvey(3-1) was charged with the loss.  He got hammered, allowing 9 hits
and 4 walks in 6 innings.
