Freddy Garcia pitched 8 strong innings as the Chicago (AL) Whitesox bested the
Minnesota Twins in 15 innings 5 to 4 at Metrodome.

The score was knotted at 2 after nine innings. Chicago (AL) ended up winning
it in the 15th inning. After an out was recorded, Gordon Beckham smashed a
bases-empty 'big-fly'. One out later, Alexei Ramirez came to the plate and
drew a walk. Brian Anderson then delivered a one-base hit. The teams had
been locked in a scoreless duel until the 6th inning.

The victory went to Clayton Richard(3-0) who went 3 and 2/3 innings, allowing
no runs. Richard got help from D.J. Carrasco who earned his 1st save. Joe
Nathan(1-1) was the losing pitcher in relief. He pitched 2 and 2/3 innings
giving up 1 hit and 1 walk.
