In a startling finish the Kansas City Royals staged a comeback then held on to
win over the Cleveland Indians by a score of 6 to 5 at Progressive
Field.

Kansas City won the game with a rally in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs on 3
hits. Alberto Callaspo got things going when he doubled. Mark Teahen was
next and he drew a walk. Miguel Olivo then laced a base-hit. Olivo got a
great jump and stole second easily. Luis Hernandez was next to bat, but he
was a strikeout victim. David Dejesus extended the rally and delivered a
single. Kansas City finished with 11 hits in the victory.

The win was credited to Robinson Tejeda(2-1) who went 1 inning allowing no
runs. Joakim Soria recorded the save, his 5th. The losing pitcher was Jose
Veras(0-3) in relief. Kansas City scored big getting 3 runs off him in 2 and
1/3 innings.
