Second baseman Mark Ellis hit a homerun and had 3 RBI as the Oakland A's
defeated the Cleveland Indians by a score of 8 to 6 at McAfee
Coliseum.

Oakland won the game with a rally in the 8th inning scoring 2 runs utilizing 3
base hits. Ellis led off and keyed the rally when he laced a base-hit.
Orlando Cabrera stepped into the batter's box and he lifted one out of the
park for a two run home run. After an out was recorded, Rajai Davis stepped
up to the plate and he delivered a single. Davis was safe on a stolen base.
After another out, Matt Holliday dug into the batters box next, but he struck
out. Oakland out-hit Cleveland for the game, 14 hits to 10.

The win was credited to Mike Wuertz(1-0) who went 2 innings allowing 1 run.
Andrew Bailey earned the save, his 1st. Rafael Betancourt(0-1) took the loss
in relief.

The Oakland ballclub's record now stands at 4-13. With the loss, Cleveland
has a record of 5-5 lately, 8-9 overall.
