Third baseman Evan Longoria connected with a 'big fly' and had 2 RBI as the
Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Toronto Bluejays by the score of 4 to 0 at
Tropicana Field.

Toronto never recovered after Tampa Bay took the lead in the 3rd inning when
they came up with 2 runs on 1 hit. That early run support was all that Matt
Garza(3-1) required. Tampa Bay had 8 hits for the afternoon while Toronto
had 5.

Scott Richmond(2-1) was tagged with the loss. He allowed 5 hits and 4 walks
in 6 innings. The Tampa Bay ballclub's record now stands at 10-7. Still in
a bad slump, with this loss, Toronto is 2-8 lately and 6-15, worst in the
division on the year.
