They almost ran out of baseballs at Sun Life Stadium as Florida Marlins
clobbered the Atlanta Braves pitching staff, scoring 12 runs while Ricky
Nolasco(2-1), with relief help from Jose Veras, allowed Atlanta 4
runs.

Nolasco delivered a fine performance for Florida. He went 6 innings
surrendering 8 hits and 2 walks. Nolasco struckout 8 Atlanta batters.
Florida had many opportunities throughout the game and scored in 6 separate
innings.

Veras got the save, his 2nd. Derek Lowe(0-5) was tagged with the loss. He
had trouble throwing strikes and issued 7 walks in 3 innings.

The Florida ballclub's record now stands at 10-7. With the loss, the Atlanta
ballclub's record is 9-14, worst in the division.
