Marlon Byrd connected with a 'big fly' and had 4 RBI at Wrigley Field as the
Chicago (NL) Cubs beat the Cincinnati Reds 7 to 6.

Byrd helped send the fans home happy. He popped a two-run clout over the
fence in the 1st inning, stroked a single in the 5th inning and laced a
one-base hit resulting in a run in the 7th inning. Cincinnati threatened in
the 9th but their rally came up short.

The victory went to Carlos Marmol(2-1) who went 1/3 of an inning, allowing no
runs. Casey Coleman got the save, his 1st. Arthur Rhodes(1-1) was the losing
pitcher in relief. He gave up 1 hit and no walks in 2/3 of an inning.
