Roy Halladay racked up an impressive total of 11 strikeouts at Dodger Stadium
as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Los Angeles(NL) Dodgers 3 to
1.

Halladay(3-0) gave Philadelphia a solid outing. He surrendered only 8 hits
and 1 walk in 8 and 1/3 innings reducing his ERA from 4.80 to 3.99.
Philadelphia had just 6 hits for the afternoon.

Halladay got help from Brad Lidge who was credited with his 2nd save. Hiroki
Kuroda(0-3) was charged with the loss. He surrendered only 1 run and 5 hits
in 8 innings.

Halladay was asked about his big strikeout performance, 'Well, it's a little
odd when you rack up these numbers on the road - instead of cheers and a
running tally in the stands, everything gets real still and quiet. Just
strange - but it's nice to be able to take the crowd out of the game.'
