In a close game it was the Chicago (NL) Cubs 4, the Atlanta Braves 2 at Turner
Field.

Chicago (NL) did all of it's offensive work in the 2nd inning when they came
up with 4 runs on 6 hits. That early run support was enough for Tom
Gorzelanny(2-1) and Chicago (NL). Both teams' bats went to sleep after the
4th inning with no runs scored after that point.

Sean Marshall gained credit for his 1st save. Derek Lowe(0-4) was given the
loss. Chicago (NL) continued their winning ways, with their streak now at 6
games and counting. John Thomas was thrilled following the game -- 'We're
really on a roll now. These guys are playing their hearts out and I couldn't
be happier for them!'
