Max Scherzer blanked Chicago (AL) allowing just 3 hits and Brennan Boesch
smacked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Detroit Tigers man-handled the
Chicago (AL) Whitesox - the final score was 10 to 0.
 
It was a good day for Detroit thanks to Boesch.  He smashed a solo-shot out of
the park in the 3rd inning and belted a three-run homer in the 4th inning.
Detroit totaled 17 hits on the afternoon.  
 
Scherzer(1-3) was credited with the shutout, his first of the year. Gavin
Floyd(1-2) ended up with the loss.  He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 4
innings of work.  
 
Wth the win Detroit now has a record of 7-7.  Still in a bad slump, with this
loss, Chicago (AL) is 2-8 lately and 7-16, worst in the division on the year.
