Right fielder J.B. Shuck collected 2 extra-base hits and had 2 RBI as the
Houston Astros defeated the Los Angeles(AL) Angels by the score of 5 to 3 at
Angels Stadium.
 
Brett Myers(1-4) pitched well enough to earn the win.  He went 5 and 1/3
innings surrendering 6 hits and 3 walks lowering his ERA from 4.99 to 4.75.
The game was a scoreless duel until the 6th inning.  
 
Myers got help from Mark Melancon who was credited with his 6th save.  The
losing pitcher was Dan Haren(2-2).  He gave up 5 runs and 11 hits in 7 and
2/3 innings.  
 
'Wow.  That's about all I can think to say.' said Brad Mills following the
victory.  'If ever a team needed a win, it was us.'
