At Petco Park the San Diego Padres outscored the Colorado Rockies 4 to 1.

San Diego scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning with the help of 3
hits. The highlight belonged to Kevin Kouzmanoff who electrified Petco Park
when he doubled scoring two baserunners. San Diego managed 8 hits in their
victory.

The victory went to Jake Peavy(1-0) who went 7 and 1/3 innings, allowing 1
run. Mike Adams got the save, his 2nd. Aaron Cook(0-1) took the loss.
