Chipper Jones had 3 base hits and scored 3 times and Tim Hudson took a
no-hitter into the 7th inning as the Atlanta Braves topped the Washington
Nationals by a score of 6 to 1 at Turner Field.

Hudson(1-0) came through with a virtuoso performance against the Washington
hitters. He surrendered only 2 hits and no walks in 9 innings. The
right-handed Hudson lost his no-hit bid when Cristian Guzman doubled with one
out in the 7th inning. Atlanta finished with 10 hits in the victory.

Tim Redding(0-2) ended up with the loss. He was not very effective,
surrendering 6 runs in 4 and 2/3 innings.
