The Baltimore Orioles defeated the Los Angeles(AL) Angels by a score of 4 to 1
at Angels Stadium.

Jeremy Guthrie(1-0) pitched well for Baltimore in their victory. He went 5
innings surrendering 5 hits and 2 walks improving his ERA from 6.23 to 3.86.
Los Angeles(AL) had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.

George Sherrill earned the save, his 2nd. The losing pitcher was Ervin
Santana(0-1). 'Some losses are harder to take than others' John DePanicis
lamented after the game. 'This was one of them.'
