separated the combatants at game's end. The Baltimore Orioles won by the
slimmest of margins, 4 to 3.

Lance Cormier(1-0) slammed the door shut in an excellent relief performance.
He allowed just 1 hit and no walks in 3 innings. Baltimore banged out 7 hits
on the afternoon.

George Sherrill recorded his 1st save. The losing pitcher was Brandon
