One run was the difference at Fenway Park as the Boston Redsox defeated the
Seattle Mariners in 10 innings 3 to 2.

The score was tied at 2 after nine. Boston won the game in the 10th inning.
Dustin Pedroia lined a base-hit. J.D. Drew came next and he delivered a
single. Manny Ramirez was the next batter, but he struck out. David Ortiz
stepped in and he lashed a single to load the bases. Kevin Youkilis stepped
into the box and lined a one-base hit giving Boston the win much to the
delight of the home town crowd. For the game Boston out-hit Seattle 10 to 6.

Jonathan Papelbon(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 innings and
allowing no runs. J.J. Putz(0-1) was given the loss in relief.
