At Metrodome, the Minnesota faithful were treated to an intriguing pitcher's
duel. Justin Duchscherer(1-0) finally bested his Minnesota counterpart, Nick
Blackburn(0-1), by the score of 3 to 1.

Duchscherer earned his pay with a solid performance for Oakland. He went 7
innings surrendering 8 hits and 1 walk. Neither team managed to score after
the 4th inning.

Huston Street got the save, his 2nd. Blackburn took the loss. He gave up 8
hits and 1 walk in 6 innings.
