Rafael Perez came through with a solid 4 and one third innings at Comerica
Park where the Cleveland Indians beat the Detroit Tigers by the score of 5 to
4.

Cleveland came up with the deciding runs in the top of the 8th inning scoring
4 runners on 2 hits. The highlight belonged to Shin-Soo Choo who silenced
the crowd when he lashed a single bringing in two baserunners. Detroit had a
chance in the 9th but they came up short.

The victory was credited to Perez(1-1) who went 4 and 1/3 innings, allowing no
runs. Perez got help from Jensen Lewis who earned his 3rd save. Jeremy
Bonderman(0-1) took the loss.

'We just made a lot of mistakes, mostly mental,' Dave Murray said. 'It's bad
enough when the other team beats you, but when you start beating yourselves,
that's really bad.'
