Ervin Santana struck out 13 batters and Vladimir Guerrero had 2 base hits and
2 RBI at Angels Stadium where the Los Angeles(AL) Angels beat the Cleveland
Indians 4 to 2.
Santana(1-1) pitched a fine game. He went 7 innings surrendering 10 hits and
4 walks lowering his ERA to 2.63. Cleveland threatened in the 9th but Los
Angeles(AL) was able to put down the rally.
Francisco Rodriguez recorded his 4th save. Fausto Carmona(0-2) was given the
loss. Santana was jubilant in the hometown clubhouse, 'It was a lot of fun
out there. The fans gave me a lot of support as did my teammates. We got
the victory and I'll sure take 13 strikeouts anytime!'
