The Texas Rangers put 4 runs on the scoreboard in the 1st inning and toppled
the Oakland A's by a 13 to 9 score at McAfee Coliseum.

Vicente Padilla(1-0) contributed a pedestrian performance to earn the win. He
went 6 and 1/3 innings surrendering 5 hits and 4 walks. Padilla chalked up 7
strikeouts and was touched for 2 homeruns. Offensively, Texas was a
juggernaut. They scored in 6 separate innings.

Eddie Guardado earned the save, his 2nd. Dana Eveland(0-2) was the loser. He
was hit hard and gave up 8 hits and 3 walks in 4 innings.
