to 3 victory over the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park.

Brandon Morrow(1-1) pitched well enough in relief to get the win. He went 4
and 2/3 innings surrendering 4 hits and 4 walks and recorded 7 strikeouts.
Seattle had 16 hits overall, while Detroit had 10.

Justin Verlander(1-1) suffered the loss. He was not very effective,
surrendering 7 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings.
