Third baseman Melvin Mora had 2 base hits at Camden Yards where the Baltimore
Orioles beat the Tampa Bay club 6 to 4.

Baltimore claimed the early lead in the first inning scoring 3 runners on 3
hits. The key at-bat was by Kevin Millar who came through for the home fans
when he popped a two-run clout over the fence (his 1st of the season).
Despite losing, Tampa Bay out-hit Baltimore 11 to 8.

The win went to Daniel Cabrera(1-0) who allowed 3 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings.
George Sherrill gained credit for his 3rd save. Scott Kazmir(0-1) was
charged with the loss. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 4 and 2/3
innings of work.
