Brandon Inge lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 4 RBI and Edwin Jackson
held New York (AL) to 3 hits at Comerica Park as the Detroit Tigers beat the
New York (AL) Yankees by the count of 9 to 2.

Inge made sure the Detroit fans enjoyed themselves. He doubled in the 2nd
inning, slapped a one-base hit bringing in a run in the 6th inning and lost
the ball over the fence for three runs in the 7th inning. Detroit had 16
hits for the night.

Jackson(2-1) lasted until the end allowing 2 runs for the win. A.J.
Burnett(2-1) ended up with the loss. Detroit knocked him around a bit, as he
gave up 7 runs in 6 innings.

'We didn't have a whole lot of chances tonight,' George Nasser said. 'Jackson
just was too much for our guys.'
