The Boston Redsox nipped the Baltimore Orioles 2 to 1 at Fenway Park in a hard
fought contest.

Jon Lester(2-1) gave Boston a solid outing. He allowed only 5 hits and 1 walk
in 8 and 1/3 innings seeing his ERA drop from 4.67 to 3.51. The teams had
been locked in a scoreless duel until the 8th inning.

Jonathan Papelbon got the save, his 1st. Lance Cormier(1-2) ended up with the
loss in relief. He pitched 1 inning giving up 3 hits and no walks.
