Ryan Rowland-Smith completed the game without help from the bullpen as the
Seattle Mariners defeated the Oakland A's 5 to 1 at McAfee Coliseum.

Seattle came up with 3 runs in the top of the 3rd inning with the help of 4
hits. That early scoring held up. Seattle managed 11 hits in their victory.

Rowland-Smith(1-1) lasted until the end allowing 1 run for the win. Chad
Gaudin(0-1) was the losing pitcher. He allowed 3 runs and 7 hits in 6
innings.
